Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drug Discovery Support:

    • Design and synthesize potential drug candidates.

    • Optimize molecular structures for better efficacy, safety, and bioavailability.

  2. Process Development:

    • Develop scalable and cost-effective synthetic routes for APIs.

    • Optimize reaction conditions (temperature, pressure, solvents, catalysts).

  3. Scale-Up and Pilot Production:

    • Translate lab-scale synthesis to pilot plant or industrial scale.

    • Ensure consistency, purity, and yield at larger volumes.

  4. Collaboration with Other Departments:

    • Work with analytical chemistry to verify product identity and purity.

    • Coordinate with formulation, quality assurance, and regulatory teams.

  5. Documentation & Compliance:

    • Maintain detailed records for regulatory submissions (e.g., FDA).

    • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols.
