Key Functions of the OSD Production Department:

 1. Raw Material Handling

 2. Dispensing

   - Accurate measurement and weighing of raw materials according to the batch manufacturing record (BMR).

   - Cross-verification to prevent contamination or mix-ups.

 3. Granulation

   - Wet Granulation: Blending raw materials with a granulating fluid to form granules.

   - Dry Granulation: Compressing and milling materials to achieve granules without a liquid binder.

 4. Blending

   - Mixing APIs with excipients to ensure uniform distribution of active ingredients.

 5. Compression

   - Compressing blended powders or granules into tablets using tablet presses.

   - Ensuring uniformity in weight, thickness, and hardness of tablets.

 6. Encapsulation
