At ICON Quality & Compliance we are looking for a QA Manager to join our team. This role is focused on SOP Harmonisation and Integration.

As the ideal candidate you will be able to lead a team and work effectively with a wide range of internal stakeholders, empowering the business to successfully harmonise procedures and establish an industry-leading future state for ICON, while mitigating quality and regulatory risks.

This is an exciting role with a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of developing ICON’s quality management system documentation.

The role also includes many learning opportunities as you will be working with a variety of different business units across a wide range of expertise.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to influence multiple stakeholders to achieve a successful outcome
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with different levels of the organisation. This includes the ability to distil complex issues into concise, relevant information, focusing on what matters.
  • Experience working with and building strong, effective teams. Valuing different contributions; working with and through others, involving people in issues that affect them.
  • Understanding of the CRO industry, key business drivers, and operational processes across a range of services and functional areas
  • An agile mindset and effective time management skills, able to lead and participate in multiple projects simultaneously, and to quickly adapt in response to business needs
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in life sciences, or similar area, or relevant experience in clinical trials
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a CRO, Pharma organisation, or equivalent environment
Key responsibilities:
  • Lead and participate in SOP Harmonisation and Integration initiatives; provide effective updates to stakeholders, and delivering successful project outcomes
  • Develop and implement methodologies to ensure successful SOP Harmonisation across diverse functional areas, while accounting for risk, business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders such as Operations, Document Control, and others to ensure seamless workflows, on-time deliverables, and proactively addressing risks and potential delays
  • Manage allocation of workload and supervision of a team of direct reports in multiple locations
  • Foster an environment that motivates people while identifying development opportunities for yourself and others
  • Guide and support team members in prioritising, troubleshooting, and contingency planning
  • Work as part of a management team to contribute to the overall success of the department, and ensuring effective budgetary control within the department
